Description

Located low on the south horizon (from where I live at least) Capricornus is a large but rather barren area. Just for fun, here is the largest deep sky object which can be observed there. NGC6907 is a small S shaped barred spiral galaxy located 145 million light years away. Its angular diameter is 3.6'x2.6' and it was a challenge to observe such a small and low above the horizon object with the LX200 10" at f/10 (f=2500mm). Of course this is not a high quality picture.
